It is worth noting that both the iGPU engine clock and the APU's memory frequency were increased in the review. The reviewer raised the iGPU engine clock from its reference speed of 2900 MHz to 3400 MHz. Similar to its predecessor, the 5700G "Cezanne," the new 8700G "Hawk Point" features a more advanced memory controller compared to its chiplet-based counterpart, the Ryzen 7000 "Raphael." The reviewer successfully overclocked the DDR5-8400 memory, resulting in a 17% improvement in the Time Spy score compared to stock speeds.
