MSI Introduces New MAX Series Motherboards

MSI is thrilled to announce the release of the MAX Series Motherboards for the Z790 chipset and Micro-ATX motherboards for the B760 chipset. This lineup includes the MEG Series, MPG Series, MAG Series, and PRO Series. These motherboards, paired with Intel Core Next-gen, 13th Gen, and 12th Gen Processors, offer enhanced performance and fine-tuning compared to the previous generation.

Z790 MAX Series Motherboards

The Z790 MAX Series motherboards from MSI offer a robust lineup of power phase design boards across every model. From the flagship MEG Z790 GODLIKE MAX with 26 Duet Rail Power System CPU power phases to the entry-level PRO Series motherboard with 16 DRPS CPU power phases, these motherboards provide a wide range of options.

In addition to their powerful power phase design, the Z790 MAX Series motherboards feature innovative designs that simplify the building process for users. All models in the series come with the latest wireless network solution "Wi-Fi 7," which doubles the bandwidth to 320 MHz and offers a maximum theoretical speed of 5.8 Gbps. This technology allows devices to send and receive data simultaneously across multiple frequency bands and channels, easing the traffic flow from numerous wireless devices. Wi-Fi 7 also improves the QAM from 1024-QAM to 4096-QAM, boosting the peak transmission rate and network capacity. The Z790 MAX gaming series motherboards fully support PCIe 5.0 M.2 and feature Screwless M.2 Shield Forzr for convenient installations or upgrades. The MEG series is equipped with a magnetic design, eliminating the need to reconnect the RGB cable when replacing M.2. Additionally, all MPG & MEG Z790 models come with the new JAF1 Header, which provides an extra ARGB and Fan Header with a single cable. The USB4 PD100W Expansion Card, introduced during Computex 2023, is also available for users.

MEG Series

The MEG MAX Series offers two models: MEG Z790 GODLIKE MAX and MEG Z790 ACE MAX. These models build upon the features of the previous MEG Z790 Series and introduce new enhancements. The MEG 790 MAX Series supports up to 26+2 DRPS Power Phase Design with 105 A SPS. It features an all-new generation of VRM Cooling, including an all-aluminium cover, Wavy Fin Array-Designs, a U-Shape VRM Heatsink with Direct Touch Cross Heat-pipe, and 7 W/mk Thermal and Choke pads for efficient cooling. The MEG MAX Series also includes Lightning Gen 5.0 PCIe & Gen 5.0 M.2 support, providing 128 GB/s of bandwidth for maximum speed and performance. Both MEG Z790 GODLIKE MAX and ACE MAX come with MSI's patented Screwless M.2 Shield Frozr with Magnetic for easy installation. The M-Vision Dashboard, featuring a 4.5" display, allows users to showcase system information and perform one-touch overclocking for enhanced performance. Both models also feature the latest Wi-Fi 7 Solution with a brand-new EZ Antenna for fast download and upload speeds.

MPG Series

The MPG series welcomes three new models: MPG Z790 CARBON MAX WIFI, MPG Z790 EDGE TI MAX WIFI, and MPG B760M EDGE TI WIFI. All MPG new motherboards come with MSI's patented Screwless M.2 Shield Frozr. The MPG Z790 MAX series offers up to 19+1+1 Direct CPU Power Phase with 105 A SPS, an Extended Heatsink with heat-pipe, Lightning Gen 5.0 PCIe slot, and the new Wi-Fi 7 Solution. The MPG Z790 EDGE TI MAX WIFI even upgrades its M.2 to PCIe 5.0. The USB 4.0 PD100W Expansion Card is bundled with the MPG Z790 CARBON MAX WIFI.

The brand-new MPG B760M EDGE TI WIFI supports a 12 Duet Rail Power System (DRPS) with 75 A DrMOS, an Extended Heatsink for efficient heat dissipation, PCIe Gen 5.0 slot, patented Screwless M.2 Shield Frozr, and 3 Gen 4.0 M.2 slots. For connectivity, the MPG B760M EDGE TI WIFI includes a USB Gen 3.2 Gen 2 x2 Type-C, 2.5G LAN, and Wi-Fi 6E.

MAG Series

The MAG Series, popular among gamers, introduces the new MAG Z790 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI. This model offers improved performance and DIY-friendly options. The MAG Z790 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI features a 16+1+1 Mirrored Power Arrangement Power Phase Design with 90 A SPS and a dual-8 pin CPU power connector for seamless gaming. It also includes Lightning Gen 5 and upgraded M.2 support for PCIe 5.0 speed. The motherboard comes with MSI's patented M.2 Screwless Shield Frozr for easy installation and the latest Wi-Fi 7 for incredible wireless speeds.

Additionally, the MAG Z790 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI is accompanied by two models for mainstream users: MAG B760M MORTAR WIFI II and MAG B760M MORTAR II. These mATX form factor motherboards feature a 12 Duet Rail Power System with 75 A DrMOS, a 6-layer PCB with 2oz thickened copper for stable current to the CPU, Lightning Gen 5 PCIe slot, and up to 3 onboard Gen 4 M.2 slots. The MAG B760M Series includes premium thermal solutions, such as an all-aluminium design and Extended Heatsinks, and the M.2 slots are covered with M.2 Shield Frozr for optimal performance.

PRO Series

The PRO Series offers balanced and reliable functionality, along with high-quality components for professionals and enterprises. The PRO Z790 MAX Series is equipped with up to 16+1+1 DRPS power phase with 80 A SPS, Lightning Gen 5.0 PCIe slot, M.2 Shield Frozr, 2.5G LAN, and Wi-Fi 7. It also includes Lightning USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C connections for high bandwidth and performance. These features make the PRO Z790 MAX Series ideal for handling daily work tasks.
