SilverStone Unveils ALTA T1: Premium HPTX Super-Tower Case for High-End Builds
SilverStone has introduced the ALTA T1, a high-end HPTX super-tower PC case designed for enthusiasts, workstation professionals, and advanced homelab AI inferencing setups. Crafted with a robust aluminium unibody chassis and anodized aluminium panels, the ALTA T1 combines durability with a sleek, modern aesthetic. The chassis is constructed from 4.3 to 8 mm thick aluminium sheet metal, ensuring both strength and premium build quality.
Comprehensive Motherboard and Expansion Support
The ALTA T1 is engineered for maximum compatibility, supporting a wide range of motherboard form factors including SSI-EEB, SSI-CEB, EATX, ATX, and smaller boards. With eight expansion slots, the case accommodates up to four dual-slot graphics cards, making it ideal for demanding multi-GPU configurations often required in AI, rendering, and scientific computing environments.
Innovative Dual PSU Configuration
One of the standout features of the SilverStone ALTA T1 is its flexible dual power supply support. Users can install either two standard ATX power supplies or combine an ATX PSU with a 2U CRPS redundant PSU, catering to both high-performance and high-availability requirements. The primary PSU bay supports units up to 32 cm in depth, while the secondary bay offers virtually unlimited space.
Exceptional Cooling and Storage Options
The ALTA T1 is designed to handle the most demanding cooling setups. It supports up to three 420 mm radiators (140 mm x 420 mm) when using a single PSU, or at least two 420 mm radiators in a dual PSU configuration. Radiators can be mounted along the top and both side panels, providing extensive options for custom water cooling loops.
For storage, the case includes four 3.5-inch drive bays and five mounts for 2.5-inch drives (up to 9 mm thick), offering ample space for both high-capacity hard drives and fast SSDs.
Spacious Interior and Advanced Connectivity
The upper compartment of the ALTA T1 provides room for graphics cards up to 550 mm in length, accommodating even the largest GPUs on the market. CPU coolers up to 188 mm in height are supported, though this is reduced to 165 mm when using the included expansion card support retainer.
Front panel connectivity is comprehensive, featuring two 20 Gbps USB-C ports, two 10 Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, and a headset jack, ensuring fast data transfer and convenient access for peripherals.
Dimensions and Build Quality
Including its 52 mm-tall caster wheels, the SilverStone ALTA T1 measures 250 mm (W) x 669 mm (H) x 592 mm (D), offering a spacious interior while maintaining a manageable footprint for a super-tower chassis. The company has not yet announced pricing for the ALTA T1.
