ASUS Unveils Special GeForce RTX 5090 ROG MATRIX GPU

ASUS has a surprise in store for its customers as it celebrates its 30th birthday with the special GeForce RTX 5090 ROG MATRIX GPU. This GPU is expected to be ASUS's ultimate, no-compromise offering. The design will feature a classic ROG red color scheme, with a special theme to match.

ASUS has given a sneak peek of the GPU, showcasing what appears to be a large single fan, possibly accompanied by additional fans in a push-pull setup. The card also includes an acrylic cutout displaying 3D-like "ASUS ROG" lettering, along with other accents throughout.

Previously, ASUS released the GeForce RTX 4090 ROG MATRIX GPU with an AIO for top-notch overclocking performance. However, this new teaser suggests that the RTX 5090 variant will be air-cooled, featuring unique design elements not seen in any previous RTX 50-series cards. As ASUS's top SKU, it is likely that the company carefully selected and binned the chips used in production to ensure maximum overclocking potential. This enthusiast-grade SKU is expected to come at a premium price.
