PC enthusiast and Twitch streamer Madness727 has shared images of a de-lidded Core Ultra "Arrow Lake-S" desktop processor ahead of its October 23 release. While the specific model of the processor is unknown, all models set to be released this month are based on the same configuration of tiles of the "Arrow Lake-S." This includes a Compute tile with an 8P+16E core CPU complex, a Graphics tile with 4 Xe cores, and a larger breakout I/O tile with an integrated Thunderbolt 4 controller.

Intel has also provided details on its Core Ultra "Arrow Lake-H" mobile processor, scheduled for release in Q1-2025. This processor features a smaller Compute tile with a 6P+8E core CPU complex, a larger Graphics tile with 8 Xe cores, and a smaller breakout I/O tile. This design direction hints at what to expect from the more affordable Core Ultra 5 and Core Ultra 3 desktop processor models set to launch in Q1-2025.

De-lidding involves removing the integrated heatspreader of a desktop processor to allow direct contact between the chip and the cooling solution. This process is favored by professional overclockers who utilize extreme cooling methods.
