MSI and Intel Address "UNSUPPORTED_PROCESSOR" Error on Blue Screen of Death
After receiving reports from some users experiencing the "UNSUPPORTED_PROCESSOR" error message on the Blue Screen of Death with MSI's Intel 700 and 600 Series Motherboards, MSI and Intel have been working diligently to find a solution. They have identified the root cause of the issue, which is related to the firmware setting of Intel Hybrid Architecture.
It has been determined that the error will only affect Intel's 13th Gen Core i9 processors when paired with certain versions of the Windows operating system.
To resolve this problem, a new BIOS update will be released, including an update on the Intel CPU uCode. This update will prevent any further occurrences of the "UNSUPPORTED_PROCESSOR" error and will be applicable to both 13th-generation and newer processors.
MSI will make the updated BIOS available for download on their official website this week. By the end of September, all BIOS releases for Intel 700 and 600 Series models will be accessible.
