Chinese Company PowerLeader Launches New x86 Compatible CPU

PowerLeader, a relatively unknown Chinese company that has primarily been in the server market space, has launched a new x86 compatible CPU called the Pstar P3. While there is no product information available on the company's website, a picture of the CPU reveals that it has a clock frequency of 3.7 GHz and is labeled with the model name P3-01105.

However, upon closer inspection, many tech enthusiasts have noted that the CPU appears to be an Intel Core i3-10105 CPU using the LGA-1200 socket. It is possible that this is a re-branded Intel CPU or even an unannounced licensing deal with Intel. If the latter is true, it would be the first such deal Intel has made since the 286 days.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding the origins of the Pstar P3 CPU, PowerLeader claims that it is specifically designed for desktop computers and expects to sell 1.5 million units per year.
