Minisforum Unveils N5 Pro AI NAS Barebone
Minisforum has announced the launch of the N5 Pro AI NAS barebone. This unit is equipped with five 3.5-inch caddies featuring SATA 6 Gbps backplanes, as well as support for three M.2-2280 NVMe SSDs. Additionally, the NAS includes a PCI-Express 4.0 x16 slot (electrically x8) for installing a graphics card, DPU, or enterprise-grade NIC. For network connectivity, the N5 Pro AI offers a 10 GbE interface along with a secondary 5 GbE interface.
The N5 Pro AI NAS is powered by an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX Pro 370 "Strix Point" processor, boasting a 12-core/24-thread CPU, a robust iGPU with 16 CU, and a 50 TOPS NPU. It also features two DDR5 SO-DIMM slots. The barebone version does not come with pre-installed RAM, but includes a basic 128 GB NVMe SSD with the MinisCloud OS. Users have the option to add 48 GB or even 96 GB of ECC DDR5 RAM.
Furthermore, Minisforum offers a more budget-friendly N5 AI NAS (non-Pro) model, which is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 255 processor and 16 GB of DDR5 memory. Notable features of the N5 Pro AI NAS include support for OCUlink, 40 Gbps USB4, and Docker single-key installation.
The N5 Pro AI NAS is priced starting at USD $1,019, while the N5 AI model starts at $645.
