Renowned overclocking expert Roman "der8auer" Hartung has introduced the AM5 Mycro Direct Die cooler, a new Ryzen 7000 direct die water block. This innovative water block offers much lower temperatures than all-in-one (AiO) liquid coolers. However, users must remove the Ryzen 7000 series IHS to allow the block to make direct contact with the processor, specifically the chiplets on the AMD Ryzen 7000 series CPUs. The Mycro Direct Die cooler is compatible with Der8auer's high-performance heatspreader.

When tested on the AMD Ryzen 9 7900X CPU, the new Mycro Direct Die cooler was able to reduce the temperature to 65°C, which is significantly lower than standard 280 mm AiO coolers. The Mycro Direct Die cooler is particularly effective on overclocked CPUs, providing up to 28°C lower temperatures.

Der8auer's Mycro Direct Die cooler will soon be available in both RGB and non-RGB versions, priced at around €140 and €100, respectively.
